How Do I Make A Gothic Ragdoll Costume?
For Halloween, I’m planning on being a gothic ragdoll. Like, a dark version of Raggedy Ann. I don’t really have alot of money to buy a costume, so I’m going to make it. By the way, I know it’s early, but I like planning ahead. Anyway, any advice on how to make my costume?

First you’ll want to start with a wig, try finding a black one or any long goth wig, style the hair into braided pigtails, the longer the better. Tye them off with tattered pieces of dark colored cloth. For your Make up, paint your face white, and your lips black, don’t forget the stitching at the corners of the mouth. For your dress, go to a local goodwill or similar store and find a dress that fits. Then find other dresses, (size won’t matter) and cut them into different parts and sew them onto the dress like a patch work. Be sure the dresses you pick are dark colored. If you want stockings try wearing knee highs or thigh highs of different dark colors i.e. one black and red, one green and black. As for shoes, try platformed boots or mary Jane shoes. Hope I helped.

I would go to goodwill to find a dress that looks like your typical baby doll dress (dark color)…I would tear it up some. If you have dark colored – style it with pigtails – if you have light hair – buy a wig, you can get a pigtail wig pretty cheap if you buy it now. I would buy a zombie make up kit for your face make-up. Wear black finger nail polish and carry a beat up doll with no head. .
